Swimmer-Friendly Water Treatment Method

Electrolysis is a natural process used for pool water disinfection. This device produces chlorine from a low concentration of salt dissolved in the water. Zelia VP is powerful enough to produce up to 20g/h of chlorine, ensuring effective disinfection for pools up to 75m³.

Precise Water Treatment

For even more precise water treatment, the device automatically adjusts chlorine production according to water temperature or RedOx measurements (if using Ofix VP). Several operating modes are available.

SALT ELECTROLYSIS

Salt Electrolysis (Chlorinator)

Inspired by nature, the salt electrolysis system generates chlorine from salt (sodium chloride) previously added to the water.

Most importantly, salt only needs to be added once, as it does not disappear until you refill your pool with fresh water.

The salt concentration in the water is 2–4 g/l, which is 10 times less than in seawater.

PROCESS

How does saltwater chlorination work?

Water from your pool, in which a specific amount of salt has been dissolved, is directed to the electrolysis plates located in the salt (chlorinator) cell.
When the saltwater comes into contact with the electrolysis plates, chlorine gas is formed.
The chlorine gas dissolves in the water.
Water with pure, fresh chlorine is directed back into the pool, thereby providing 100% of the required chlorine amount.

Under the influence of sunlight, sodium hypochlorite spontaneously converts back into salt, allowing the cycle to repeat almost indefinitely. Salt should be added to the water in proportion to the amount of fresh water filled into the pool. The salinity level in the water can be measured.
